Kayla - Practice Manager/ Technician
Kayla was born in Dallas, TX and moved to Greensboro, NC as a small child where she grew up and obtained her BS in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2014.
All through college, Kayla worked at a very large retail company as an associate until her promotion to assistant manager up until her move to Arizona.
In January 2016 she relocated to Arizona to be closer to her family and to ultimately pursue her life long dream of becoming involved in the veterinary field. Kayla started at Duval Animal Hospital in February 2016 as a Veterinary Assistant and has worked her way up to Veterinary Technician and now Practice Manager. Kayla is very excited to be using her back ground in business and experience in the veterinary field to continue to make a difference in the lives of companion animals and their owners. When Kayla's not working, she is either volunteering with animal rescues or riding along with her Equine Veterinarian in Tucson.
Kayla lives with her 1 dog, Noah (AKA Boogie) and her cat, Baby Ennis. Kayla lost her 9 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gracie at the age of 9 in March 2018 to congestive heart failure. In Kayla's free time she enjoys going to the barn to spend time with her family horse, Traveller, grilling out, binge watching Netflix, and spending time with her friends and family.
Kayla is very happy to have joined the Duval team and cannot think of doing anything better or more rewarding than working with animals and their loving owners.
She looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
